Welcome to the ThomasBoston B.Log, A Journey in Brand Marketing & the Expression of Style. I’m Tom Lanen, the blog’s editor, and also Founder, CEO + Brander at ThomasBoston, a Thomas Marketing Services Corporation business.
Founded in 1989 as the full service advertising and marketing firm, I’ve had the good fortune to work on some great brands, such as VELCRO® (17 years), LoJack®, Boston Whaler®, Ovation Benefits Group, and Thermo Scientific, and lately, with some great small businesses, such as Quebrada Baking Co., Visibility Systems, and Murphy Industrial Products.
In 2009, our 20th year, we re-branded to ThomasBoston to signal our commitment to staying on the front edge of changing market and media conditions, online and offline.
Today I specialize in collaborating with established and start-up small business owners and retailers for whom Brand is personal, part of their being, and marketing is worthwhile. All are unique in themselves and their vision; but they all have precious little time to focus on anything but their core business, products, staff and finances. I have their back for all things marketing.
I listen, and with my trusted partners, help to focus, articulate, and amplify their Brands. The goal is to give them the same control of their Brand as they have with other critical aspects of their business. And to fortify their Brands for profitability.
